For this brief, we were tasked with creating a robot, complete with backstory. We then had to make a graphic novel cover for their story.

 

My graphic novel, titeled SC00p3R after my robot, is a story of a lonely robot out to find a family out in the big bad world.

SC00p3R is the prototype of  a robot that would be able to make any flavour ice-cream imaginable. SC00p3R, however, fails at this, creating horrible flavour mixes that no one can stomach.

​

After being locked in a storeroom and replaced by a newer model, SC00p3R manages to escape, when the maid leaves the door ajar.

​

The scene depicted is of SC00p3R, just after he escaped, on the side of the road watching happy families on televisions in a storefront. This is the moment that he realises what he has been missing out on all the time that he was in storage, family and a loving home.

 

He sets out to find a home and create the perfect ice-cream flavour.

This bright and colourful night scene shows the wonders of SC00p3R discovering the unknown.
